MC Heritage Tours is calling all bicyclists!!! Join city planner and tour guide, Mario Caruso on a 10 mile leisure bike ride to discover Yonkers stretch of Hudson riverfront. The tour begins in the revitalized downtown waterfront area with visits to the City Pier, new Esplanade Park and Sculpture Meadow. Traveling north the tour visits the mansions and estates of Yonkers Gilded Age including the Lenoir Mansion, Untermyer Gardens, the Boyce Thompson Estate and finally to the Hudson River Museum and its historic Glenview Mansion. MC Heritage Tours presents a walk through Yonkers economic, social and political center as you explore three and a half centuries of architecture leading into modern day where a major revitalization effort is occurring. Highlights include the City Pier and new Esplanade, the former Otis Elevator Plant, St. John's Church and Yonkers first home and city hall, the Philipse Manor Hall. Heritage Tours by MCPlans invites you to get lost in Yonkers as you explore the city's connection to show business.
